NYT headline writers (and in this case also the reporter) drive me crazy! "Left-wing insurgent"? Talk about loaded terms. Maybe more like someone who is in tune with what resonates with voters: affordability, health care for all, generational change, and stepping away from corporate donors.

My wildland firefighter son got Valley Fever from fungus released during a prescribed burn in the Sierras. He was miserable, missed work (unpaid), and his private contract company refused to cover his medical expenses. Some sort of respiration protection is urgently needed.

My across-the-street neighbor struggled to stake her flag. I ran over to see if I could help. I’ve never met her other than waving. We introduced either other and she told me how important it was for her to get that flag outside for tomorrow. True love of country looks like these “little” acts.
