I do believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I do wish I didn’t have to read all the really dumb ones to get to something halfway interesting.

The thing about social media and why I use it so very little compared to most is that for every cute animal and thoughtful take, I have to wade through a gushing tide of complete poopoo. I try to curate my feed, but because I like movies and TV, I end up seeing some of people’s worst possible takes.

Enjoying Rebel Ridge as a good old revenge fantasy action movie. I like movies like this, The Equalizer, etc., where an underestimated but highly capable protagonist violently and *cleverly* take down those who have wronged them or wronged other innocent people.

And it seem like the character of Miss Bianca, being not just a beautiful woman but also someone with a strong sense of justice, is essentially so charming and elegant and magnetic that people just can’t help but like her and want to help her. It’s not a complicated character, but it’s for kids.

Also, Bernard from The Rescuers. He’s a timid and cautious man, but when it comes to standing up for people who can’t stand up for themselves, he dives right in despite his fears.

Watching a bunch of older Disney animated movies today, and I like the wholesomeness of some of the male characters. Thomas O’Malley is a charming rogue, but he’s also altruistic as heck. He doesn’t hesitate to jump in a river to save Marie, even though he himself can’t swim.
