An interesting study on how good cholesterol or HDL may protect against dementia in middle age adults. They found higher HDL cholesterol efflux and higher plasma concentration of small HDL-P were associated with higher GMV/TCV (whole-brain grey matter volume/total cranial volume). #cardiosky
