One of the things that gives me hope is knowing that our current world grew out of societies that were more corrupt and ignorant and superstitious and brutal than we can even imagine. I don't really believe in progress. But I do believe that goodness can emerge in the most unlikely places.

Supporting bathroom, sports and healthcare bans for trans people means signing on to a moral panic about problems that DON'T EXIST. When people say Democrats should "moderate" on these issues, they are suggesting that we legislate a group out of public life based on lies.

Republicans are passing bathroom bills because they think men are pretending to be women so they can commit sexual assault. THEY AREN'T. Republicans are banning trans athletes because they think boys are pretending to be girls to win competitions. THEY AREN'T.

I think my biggest problem with the "debate" over whether Democrats should abandon trans people is how divorced from reality it is. Republicans are banning gender-affirming care because they think kids are being rushed into surgeries. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING.

We are calling for a nationwide and international boycott of all Elon Musk-related products and services. Sell your Tesla shares, avoid buying Tesla vehicles, cancel Starlink, and delete your X accounts.

I would just like to applaud journalists everywhere doing great accountability work on DOGE/Musk and Trump. Far fewer journos than 2016. The overall industry is in dire straights. Many are have owners are bowing to Trump. There's so much to cover. And folks are killing it.

USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.

Ppl need to understand that you can have media literacy and just disagree on a piece of art. Part of having media literacy is knowing that a text can be interpreted multiple ways. As long as we can cite our evidence in the text itself or in the genre it takes place in we are using media literacy
