Plan to grow a bunch of stuff next year because I anticipate there will be a great need for dependable and safe fruits and veggies. I donate a lot of it but I'm going to plan to up my yields so I can donate more on top of what I'll be selling.

Both! I have hydroponic systems for some and then I grow most of them outside while it's warm and overwinter with a sunny window and grow lights. Right now I have sage, rosemary, chives, thyme, mint, sweet and Thai basil, and parsley plus some lettuce. What's going wrong?

Growing even a few veggies and herbs can save you some money at the grocery store, and it gives you something to trade that requires very minimal skill and upkeep. There's literally no downside except that maybe it's annoying some people on the internet.

I also recommend growing food. You can get seeds free at many local libraries. If you have a balcony or patio with sun exposure you can grow many herbs, tomatoes, bell peppers, lettuces, kale, spinach. You don't need raised beds you can drill holes in the bottom of old plastic garbage containers.

The price of food is going to go up. Especially meat. If you can, I recommend getting friends and family together to purchase a whole or part of a pig, lamb, cow, and/or a set amount of chickens from a local farm or butcher. It's way cheaper per pound than the grocery store, but a large upfront cost

I said this about this time last year and people jumped down my throat but I recommend everyone start growing some food. It doesn't have to be a lot and you don't need a lot of space or even your own space to do it. You don't need to purchase a bunch of expensive fertilizer or build a bed.

More people should be shamed publicly. It's socialization. When you do something shameful, you should feel shame and if you don't feel shame internally, you should feel it externally. Not enough people are capable of feeling shame internally I fear.
