Anytime someone quotes βthe one who is unwilling to work shall not eatβ to justify their politics, all I can hear is they think unemployed people deserve to die.... I'm so glad I'm not a Christian Conservative. I don't have to think such horrible things.

They're basically getting their designs straight from original Nazi propaganda. The official government social media pages are posting blatant propaganda and it's somehow normalized... They can't figure why we call them Nazis when they are getting their ideas straight from the Nazi playbook.

It was roughly a decade ago when I realized the "pro-life" movement I was raised in is anything but. Seeing the people around me become apologists for death and suffering at the hands of the people they voted for show me time and again they don't actually believe in the sanctity of human life.

I honestly don't care if they are carrying drugs. But we honestly don't know because they're just blowing them out of the water without any search or anything and BRAGGING about their murders. I'm strongly anti-death penalty. This is beyond horrific that they are openly bragging about it.

They certainly aren't beating the White Supremacy/Nazi allegations. Holy hell. The government is just straight up posting bigoted, hateful, racist propaganda on social media. Conservatives: "Stop calling us Nazis!" Also Conservatives: "We want to deport every non-white person from our homeland!"

I'm a graphic designer and have definitely dealt with customers who were extremely nitpicky over the most minor of things. I'm talking slight color variations or font type. So, I hadn't really thought of this aspect of people using AI generation before, but it hits after ready this.

It's not shocking that liars lie. What is shocking to me is why so many people believe them or think they are worth leading the country. Why are so many people okay with blatant liars running things? They can't even accept reality, and some people want them to lead us?

This is definitely weird. But it's also a reminder how different the Left and Right are when mass shootings happen. We tend to wait for actual evidence of who the shooter was and their motives. The Right just wants to blame a minority group and makes it up on the spot without any actual information.

I think a big reason why many Conservatives are anti-trans is because they do not believe men and women are equal. They hate Feminism. They think men are superior to women. So the idea that someone would "switch sides" doesn't make sense to them.

It's already bad enough official government agencies are posting propaganda on social media, but this is such a non-sequitur. Even if there's that many immigrants, they also are struggling with rent, no? How does that effect rent prices?

I'm not sure Evangelicals know what a free gift is... I just heard someone give the typical Gospel spiel, and he talked about how salvation is a "free gift" from Jesus, then proceeded to say what you have to do in order to receive it... uh, that's not a free gift. That's transactional & conditional.

This is a great example of how people, both theist and atheist alike, can twist someone's words and take them out of context for bad faith reasons. We can all do better. I'm speaking to my fellow atheists as well.

If Iβm understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

This thread is all too relatable, especially because I'm also trans masc and am read as both a man and woman depending on the person. So honestly, I've gotten in the habit of not using public bathrooms unless they are family rooms or single occupancy, for the most part.

Honestly, my gender goals are to confuse the heck out of people. And based on how people respond to me in public, I think I've achieved that. Also, why do so many people care so much? We are humans. We are people. Isn't that enough? Why do they want to know our sex at birth so badly? Makes no sense.

As if I didn't already feel old enough.... *sigh* I wouldn't be surprised if burning CDs come back around, actually. With all the craziness going on with streaming and the like, I think a lot of people are turning to physical media again. Though most computers don't have disc drives now...

I officially left about a year ago, as well. One of the best decisions I could ever make. If you still use it, it's never too late to leave. I feel so much better. That platform brings out the worst in people. It really does. Especially thanks to who owns it now.

Conservatives have been saying for the past few months that Dems are "inciting violence" for calling MAGA "fascist" and the like. You know what they haven't done? Outright call for people's executions like Conservatives have. Who's really the ones inciting violence?

This is an accidentally honest answer. What she's saying in code is: "The President is a misogynist, petulant bully. You've all seen him be a misogynist, petulant bully. And lots of voters out there are also misogynist or petulant or bullies and that's why they like him."

For me, it's the normalization of blatant sexism and demeaning of any journalist who dares stand up to him and how he's wielding his power to snuff out descent and threaten free speech. It's not as bad as many things he's done, but it shows all the horrible things he's helped normalized.

Seeing who Conservatives call "good" really exposes their values, morals, and priorities, doesn't it? Like, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't call a compulsive liar, sex predator, adulterer, and overall bigot "good." So why do they?

One major reason why I'm not Conservative? I abhor bullies and cruelty. And from what I've seen over the last 10 years or so, that seems to be the main demographic. Or at least people who see nothing wrong with bullies and cruelty even if they themselves aren't.

Calling LLMs AI has to be one of the greatest marketing βsuccessesβ of all time. People, including ones who run companies, have been hearing the phrase βAIβ in pop culture for 60 years. They hear about AI, assume the product is what the term has always meant, & proceed as though itβs fucking Data.

It's just kind of weird that those of us who grew up with the beginnings of the internet were warned not to put private information online as that could be used against us. Yet there are so many people giving DEEPLY personal information about themselves to LLMs because they treat them like friends.

A good reminder for myself, and possibly others. Whenever I'm spiraling and feeling like everything is on fire, it's good to do something with friends and take my mind of things. There's some things I can't control, and wallowing in it doesn't help anyone. I need joy to keep going through the mess.

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

As if there already wasn't enough reasons to love the Hermitcraft community, one thing I really appreciate about them is their embrace of human-made art. They pay commissions if they need graphics or art made. They hire 3D artists to make models for them to use. They feature fan art in game.
