Early transition can be the difference between making a living by going stealth or living on the streets because you don't pass. It isn't a formal death sentence but it makes life much more difficult than it needs to be.

A lesson for cis people on the importance of early gender affirming care: Kim Petras transitioned extremely early, needing a German court order to get bottom surgery prior to the age of 18. Her transitioning early allowed her to be a pop star, and with it, earn millions in wealth.
