Alright and here's the full sequence for the D20 City Council of Darkness intro credits I illustrated. Easily one of my fav projects of my career to get to do something as fun and nerdy as this. Huge thanks to Dropout/Dimension 20 for bringing me on for this one!

Maybe the silliest location in the City Council of Darkness intro for reasons that become more apparent in the show. Was fun seeing fans theorize what the Easter eggs in this scene might have meant. Again bravo to the animation dept at D20 for their awesome work bringing this illustration to life.

dreamed I’d made a T-shirt which was getting great reviews from T-shirt critics and really ‘doing numbers’. People were saying it was a cultural touchstone, a commentary on the time we live in but I hadn’t actually seen it. The dream ended when I finally saw it and woke myself up laughing.

Just made this sweet little jig for gridding an A5 sketchbook into perfect 3cm squares with a 1.5cm margin. Used Some modeling plasticard, a hobby knife, and a triangle file basically to make it. Works great!

I'll never forget how much The Maxx blew my mind when I first encountered it on Liquid Television in the 90s. And then getting to check out the comics and being equally floored. RIP Sam. You were a true talent.

Been working on learning acrylic painting in my free time. Had a few paintings this week not go my way, but this one from yesterday turned out pretty nicely. Had some real breakthroughs on brushwork and color blending during this session. #painting #acrylic #acrylicpainting #art

Finally got a proper light for arts and crafts sorta stuff. Been struggle bussing it with a little ikea desk light for years now and this thing is gonna be such a game changer. Dimmable, adjustable color temp, 2500 lumens. Was a little spendy but it'll be a game changer for these dark winters.

The future is just everything being really expensive and me shouting about a 3 minute timer and my pocket responding cheerfully.

Had an insane December and first week or so of January so I took the rest of this month off and have just been spending the time going on walks and practicing acrylic painting and playing guitar. It's been pretty damn nice. The misses and I are doing a spa day next week as well. Living well rn

Man this year was a mix of everything. Lotta good. Lotta bad. Just a lot to process, but I'm focusing on the high notes.
