I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust one thing reported by the Trump regime. Nothing. They could tell me the sky is blue and I’m gonna have to walk out and verify it for myself.

Watching my daughter grow up without evangelical religious trauma is breathtaking. She’s not scared of a hell, or a god who would condemn her to everlasting torture, and she’s never heard of a rapture. Growing up without that fear really does something good to a young person.

I quit too! I had to have emergency surgery first a twisted colon. When they took me off the ventilator I struggled to breathe on my own. I heard someone in the background say “does she smoke”. My life flashed before my eyes. I’ve never smoked a cigarette again. It was not easy. 12 years

I had quit for 20 years by the time I worked with smokers again. I decided to be sociable and go out to the large, open-air gazebo with the boss and two others when they took smoke breaks. It only took four days for me to start jonesing for nicotine again. If you can smell it, it's too much.

Glad to hear that you never started! I remember going to the county fairs and they handed cigarettes out 2 to a pack for free. My mom used to make me as a kid go and stand in line for them. I mean probably 7 or 8 y.o.

New year and all - if you’re hoping to quit smoking read this book. I can highly recommend it.

I read the first two chapters in a doctor’s waiting room 20 years ago and haven’t smoked since.
