The first election results from Faroe are in! Among the 14 voters in the village of Hattarvík, in the north-eastern island of Fugloy, six went for Fólkaflokkurin (People's Party).

Tomorrow, Faroe elects its next parliament. Since 2024, the conservative People's Party has taken a commanding lead in the polls. Although the election campaign has seen a swing back to the centre-left Social Democratic Party, polls suggest that the Government it leads will not be re-elected.
