So I wrote to a lot of alt comics people trying to let them know about the feed. Sorry to those who I spammed if they were not interested. My part is done, I feel. I am gonna go back to be a silent admin. Maybe in a few weeks/months I do the promised changes to the feed. For now:

Added some terms to the config so the feed includes alternative manga/gekiga and alternative bande dessinée, as comics are a big thing in both countries. Not gonna document these terms on the feed page until I finish with trials, in case I have to tweak them around. #altcomics #workinprogress

I switched the feed generator to Blueskyfeedcreator as Skyfeed (the generator used up to now) seemed very glitchy. Now the feed is working properly! No posting lags or thread problems. The documentation of the feed is finally located here: blueskyfeedcreator.com/p/manoopuest... #altcomics

I might have found another feed generator that could give better results w.r.t. lag time for updating the feed (it updates the feed almost instantly with a just-published post, with the trials I did). I will continue trials tomorrow and if it works I'll switch the feed to it. #altcomics

Remember that for your posts to appear in the Alternative Comics feed you need to include at least one of the hashtags/keywords listed here: open.substack.com/pub/altcomic... There's a lag of about 20-30mins until the post appears in the feed due to Skyfeed resources being limited (Cont'd)

Tech 🕔: The feed is built on the Skyfeed app. There's a lag (up to 10mins? 1/2 hour? I haven't figured it out yet) until a new post is included. I imagine it's 'cause Skyfeed has a dedicated server for doing all the indexing of posts and is dying of success. Might try alternatives. More news later 👋
