I’m watching The Incredibles 2 and it’s crazy how much I relate to the sad overwhelmed dad. This movie is good! I can’t imagine being a stay at home parent of THREE kids (obviously that’s usually a MOM). I guess a lot has and could be said about this topic… I like The Incredibles 2!

Remember the character “Fat Bastard” in Austin Powers? He was Scottish so it’s Mike Meyers doing a Scottish accent. And in one scene Fat Bastard is talking about charts and graphs. So it’s a science fiction story about a boy and his robot. Evan had a robot… Model Six. They were best friends. It was “Evan’s Six.” And he was “Six’s Evan.” (The children in the audience go wild)

I think a bad issue with the social internet is how many people don’t post links to the source of content, quotes, stories, images. Tumblr was great about that by the way. It feels so dumb to look for a story or a post and I have to trawl through adfarming reposts to find the unlinked original.

I (sincerely) love eating my toddlers breakfast lunch and dinner leftovers. Wish he’d eat them but it’s really good food!! Also I eat a lot of food off the ground now.

My life is very dramatic. Everyone's life is! The big drama at this time of day every day is "how long will River nap." My man is now at 2 hours and 9 minutes. Will he make it to 3 hours?? That's my dream and my wish every day.

Something I love about Bluesky is that my default view is the Following feed. And my Discover feed isn’t too different. I love this. Anyway River is napping i should clean up the living room….

I‘m drawing my current comic project into storyboards, to show directors I can do that job (I have always worked as a designer in animation). I gave my first pass to a director this weekend and got such fantastic, thorough, helpful notes today! I’m so grateful, so stoked. It’s hard too! I like it.

Brought River to the park with art supplies in my bag. He’s having fun I find a great spot. I sharpen my pencils. I drink coffee. I play with River. Talk with other parents. Finally sit to draw and I forgot the sketchbook. LOL.

I am really impressed by what I’ve seen from Shortbox releases this year. Seems like a cool thing. Actually I don’t really know what the Shortbox thing is…. I have to learn about this.

In some ways having a baby is like Elden Ring in that it’s very hard but you get better at it but then it gets hard in new ways.

Okay the "quick prints" project ballooned into something and took me a whole month to do but I did it. All files locked and forwarded to the printer. Phew. Okay. Time for River to wake up from nap.

Okay I get that he is immune from prosecution in the US for literally ordering the murders of civilians and whatever else he wants but I would like very much for him to be imprisoned in The Hague.

I like Gen V! Season 1 surprised me by how much it tried to address real issues of young people (eating disorders, gender stuff, et al). Season 2 is surprisingly sadly resonant with America today (the private prisons, masked ICE guards, popular fascism).

I wrote a note about ”quick print projects” I could cook up. It was August 26th, today is October 1st. So in my current world “quick project” is a Month. I am shocked to realize this! I thought it would be a week or two. I got some good stuff done in the last month but still. Man.

Trimming zine covers in the office corner. Takes about a minute per zine. Building up a pretty big stack of trimmings and will mail these to customers and to some stores today.

I had a dream that I was adopting a personal uniform but looked around and almost everyone was wearing it: faded, loose fitting blue jeans and black t shirts. I was happy that my concept of a daily uniform was widely shared and in fashion. But now I felt like a sheep. Didn’t feel good. Weird dream!
