Welp! Pampered Chef strikes again! Checked out what ingredients I had on hand...and the end result is a modified version of West African maafe (peanut butter stew) with chicken served over rice! It's not traditional maafe, but it's based off it using solely what ingredients I had (in alt text)

Might end up doing some late night Pampered Chef shenanigans. >.> I think I'm getting to the point of "what do we have in the fridge/pantry that I can throw together?" So no idea what I'll come up with. XD

Today's job hunt has been less than productive. XD Only got about 8 apps in today. Kinda slim pickings today. Put in for a few data entry jobs, a couple receptionist jobs, and a couple warehouse type jobs. Nothing spectacular, but *shrug* we'll see what happens.

Yeah, today is definitely a "hide under the blankets" kind of day. Way too cold. X3 17 degrees outside and it snowed last night.

So, I got turned down for that insurance sales job. X3 In a way, I'm actually kind of happy. Once I realized it was a sales job it was very much a "the only way I'd take this job is if I was desperate desperate" Yeah, trying to avoid doing sales if at all possible. >.>

With the herb garden started, and hopefully I'll be seeing some herbs sprouting in a few days or so...I'm considering other like food producing hobbies to get into. Jam-making Pickling Hot Sauce Making Bread making Cheese making Just pondering some ideas. ^.^

I personally feel like my greatest strength is consistency. I put out 100+ YCHs and Telegram stickers every month, I communicate with my customers, and my turnaround is consistent and trustworthy. I don't promise deadlines I can't meet (and if things DO come up that prevent it, I communicate).

Okay, thanks to Mom @ayumisilverfox.bsky.social for the pots and seeds and @hoppinmad.bsky.social for the planter...I got my herb garden started. Planting basil, cilantro, chives and Italian parsley. With some luck, we should see things sprouting in a week or so I think. :3

I'm admittedly getting really discouraged from the job hunt. Just constant rejection. Either jobs ghosting me, or jobs going "yeah we're going with someone else" like if I have exactly zero skills to offer.

Back home from that in-person interview. I dunno. I think I let my anxiety kind of paralyze me in interviews. >.> I hope I did okay, but there's part of me that goes "you really didn't give yourself a chance to actually show what you're capable of"

Okay, so that phone interview...bleh. Position was for a "receptionist" position...but it's sales with commission. Would rather not touch that with a fifty-foot pole if I can help it. Got an in-person interview for a warehouse dispatcher position in about an hour. Hopefully that one pans out better
