Sphinx moth or hawk Moth on my screen door in alabama. They are large fast agile moths known for their powerful flight, often mistaken for hummingbirds due to their ability to hover & feed on nectar. Their caterpillars are often known as hornworms, a common pest in gardens 🧪 🦋 #Insect #Moths

It's that time of year again down in the art mines for later reveals, so here's a little of last year's process for Anthrocon's 2025 charity character! It took some back-and-forth to decide how fierce or scary they wanted their merkitty to be. She was based on a real cat in their care.
