Friends gifted me this massive grimoire of a sketchbook for my birthday - my current book for scale on left, roughly 6x8". It's heavy! Not sure what to do with it yet, but I feel like I should put arcane bug spells in it...

A soft, small, hopeful thing.

I spoke of it generally from time to time, but I was very ill (digestion related) for a lot of 2025. It took about 5 months to get proper treatment & the medication was rough and required its own recovery. Very grateful I was able to enjoy the holidays & looking forward to a better 2026!

I feel a lot of pressure to keep my mouth shut about this but it's so incredibly awkward to be from the US living in Canada right now. I'm one little person and my feelings are of no consequence in the grand scheme, but I know so many good people back home doing what they can who deserve better.

I dunno, I've kind of always been doing it. I made tiny comics and books as a kid, leaned more into drawing to be able to depict characters from roleplay sagas with friends as a teen, explored furry as a place to find community and make some sales, and fell in love with bugs along the way.
