As a Gen Xer, I can tell you boomers and even my own generation comparing their 20s to today’s 20-30 year-olds needs to stop. I paid $600 for a West Hollywood apartment at 23. Today it’s $3500. Burgers weren’t $20, they were $6 to $8 in a nice restaurant. Life is not comparable.

I have videos I want to make and sketches for the podcast I need to write, record and edit, not to mention games to play. But all I want to do is sleep lately. And maybe watch a movie.

Happy to be one of the people over 40 that can clock an AI image or video right away, but I definitely see more and more people I know falling for it (or not caring, which may be worse)

Things are so weird with gaming. It’s strange to me that you can buy a game digitally on launch day and not be able to play it until some arbitrary time, but you could buy a physical copy (if you can find one) and play that just fine. Shouldn’t the digital one be available sooner?

If Sinners came out in the 90s there would be an SNES and Genesis game that would be made by totally different developers. The Genesis version youd play as Smoke and you’d have a gun and in the SNES version you play as Preacherboy and you fight vampires with your guitar

Sometimes I’ll think about The Arrowverse. How it started out not wanting to be very “comic booky” and ended up as some of the best, most comic-accurate live action adaptations ever. And how it was kind of a juggernaut. And then it ended and NO ONE talks about it anymore.

I mostly agree here. Requiem is probably a solid 7.5 if I’m writing a review, mostly for mechanical reasons that Westen didn’t seem to mind

I keep seeing people posting about One Piece LA, and I know it stands for Live Action but I keep thinking it’s a spinoff series set in Los Angeles, to be followed by One Piece NYC, One Piece Miami, and One Piece Special Victims Unit.

Finished Requiem. It’s…good. I think it’s easily my least favorite of the RE Engine games. Some of the worst gameplay sequences I’ve seen in the series in the final hours, and a wet fart of an ending left a bad taste in my mouth. Game is 1000% more interesting when playing as Grace

I am shocked to learn this is actually underestimating costs, because it ignores the infrastructure costs. This video is lowballing it.

I’m an overweight middle-aged man and I could beat Grace in a footrace.

Sigh. I hate it when games that get universal praise don’t click with me. Makes me feel like I’m losing my mind.
