Games that I have never played on my Steam Deck but really need to. I've played all these, but they all feel like they'd hit harder on a portable system.

Bluesky has been my favorite platform for a while, but I still had real issues with it. The New 'for you" feed and now this make it far and away the best for me. Incredible and much needed addition.

I'm off work tomorrow, so I was excited to fit in a little extra Mewgenics in the morning before the kids are up. Just discovered it drops at noon EST. DISGUSTING. I guess Ill settle for Nioh 3 before the kids wake up 😭

Game #3 of 2026 completed: MIO: Memories in Orbit. A very pretty Metroidvania with heavy Hollow Knight inspirations. It's fun, but doesn't come close to the highs of those games. Probably has a few less lows tho. Not a bad way to kick off 2026 releases.

Asked my wife to pick me up some body wash at the store today. Just discovered this was what she bought. Is... this the kind of man she wants me to smell like?

One thing I'm enjoying about the open world in Nioh 3 is that it's not a bunch of big fields. It's very tightly designed (think God of War/Banishers). Really helps it to feel as dense as it is.

Fun story from this morning. I went to bed early last night because I was pretty tired. Woke up very early. Realized I could maybe get an hour of Nioh 3 in before work. Realized that I never pre-installed it 😭😭😭😭 7ish hours to go until I can play. I'M DYING. Also, here's my dude.

I had no idea what to play tonight, because it's all Nioh 3 tomorrow. Booted up Octopath 0 for the first time in a week. After a quick reorientation, I have had a great session with it. Thats a huge performance by Octopath 0. I put it in a tough spot, and it still delivered.

Considering Ghost of Tsushima dropped in the middle of COVID when people were mostly at home and had extra cash because of that, this is pretty nuts. Also factor in that ps5 ownership is likely a bit lower than what ps4 was at that point. Tough one for the people that obsess over culture wars

Nioh superfans like myself didn't even need to look at the reviews for Nioh 3. We already knew OUR franchise was about to deliver something legendary, especially after playing the demo. This is no surprise.

The big thing I finally figured out after Silksong is that I shouldn't rush to attempt a boss again after a loss in a soulslike. After a loss, Ive started to get up and clean for a few mins, ill check my phone, or even do push ups/sit ups. Great way to calm the mind before another attempt.

Despite beating the Nioh 3 demo yesterday, Im back in it today. I wanted to clean up as much open world stuff as possible and do some stats/items/Menu management so I'm fully ready to go for Friday. I think I'm Nioh pilled.

Nioh 3 demo complete. God damn. There's some weird Team Ninja design decisions, but that was amazing. -Fantastic enemy variety/attack patterns -Insane amount of upgrade options and ways to play. -Combat feels brutal in the best ways. -Very tough but fair bosses early. Easy decision to purchase

I wrote about online friendship on my blog last week (in regards to SOMA). I genuinely feel bad for those affected by the catfish, as I am someone who believes in online friendships. But obv, we have to be guarded too. I've been fooled before and likely will be again, but its still worth it to me.

Feels like Nioh 3 absolutely nailed its open world design. I love stuff like this. Give me real rewards that I can actually see for exploring your open world instead of just small stat increases. This is good shit. It's VERY dense too. Feels like they learned a lot from Rise of the Ronin.

There's a real art to crafting your gaming rotation as a game hopper. Ideally, you want games with very different strengths so you can hop to whatever is most befitting of your mood. I might have one of my favorite rotation combos ever right now.

When I started posting my traffic, it was mostly because I was proud of what I had accomplished. However, I also told myself I wanted to start doing it every month no matter what, because I see so many creators get down with the inevitable ebbs and flows. So yeah, traffic was way down in January!

Just failed 6 times in a row on a path action that has a 48% chance in Octopath 0. This is mathematically impossible.

I genuinely didn't expect to say this. Truly, I didn't. But here I am. I'm kind of into Nioh 3.

I have had to pause during several Nioh 3 cutscenes. I have ended up skipping EVERY SINGLE ONE I've done this on. I don't know if theres any other game in recent memory where pressing start on a paused cutscene skips it. Bizarre decision making.

QUICK TIP for folks starting CAIRN There are 5 hidden “Advanced Training” objectives in the Climbing Gym at the start! Just walk up and climb any other wall after finishing the first 3. They get a LOT tougher! And while they don’t tutorialize further, they definitely sharpen your skills!

To the Moon is #3 on the list. It was also #3 on my "top 10 games without combat list" last year. I guess I'm trying to say that you should play To the Moon.
