I want to see more consoles do what PS5 does with the progress number telling you how much longer until you beat the main campaign. It’s such a small thing but it’s my favorite PS5 feature.

The best thing for the industry is that millions of gamers have their devices (30+ Xbox, 90+ PlayStation, 150+ Switch). The problem is how you get them to switch over if we’re dealing with $800-$1000 systems. I can see the next gen having a SLOW start in sales.

Considering Sony worries about console sales because that’s how they get their customer base, my belief is that Sony held out raising prices as long as possible but now that they shipped 99 million units, they see the existing user base as the main revenue, not the new potential customers.

My one beef with people saying PC gaming is going to take over has been the pricing, and while I don’t think that’s any better, I can see people saying to themselves that if they’re going to pay a lot, they minus well get a good gaming PC. Switch 2 is going to look more affordable for casuals.
