We played through a LARP that I spun up in my head, inspired by Gibberers: what if you only spoke very little of a language? To mimic that, we had players only speak with words that are 3 letters or less. The scenario? Poor translators arranged peace talks between their nations. So fun!

I am unfortunately going to be talking about this game for a long time (and I'm not sorry)

One of the first things I did when #OVER/UNDER ended was change my Discord name from: "Thoss (they/them) [🚨 EDC]" to "DB as Thoss". When everyone was talking OOC, I didn't want folks to call me by my character's name! The movie/actor wording felt right for O/U. It was just as grand as a production!

I love a quote from Johana Koljonen's "An Introduction to Bespoke Larp Design": "The power of embodied role-playing is so strong, and the ability of players to fix design problems on the fly so enormous, that even those early larpers could glimpse what was possible, and kept at it."
