@ last post but one thing that changed me when it comes to using materials you are afraid to waste has genuinely been the "to be love is to be changed" quote. I think it shows more care to use the thing instead of keeping it in a glass cage never meant to experience the passage of time.

Use the materials you're hoarding. Use that cute pen, the fancy tape, one of the 40 notebooks. Draw with those alcohol markers before they dry up. Art materials are meant to be used, not gather dusts. "I'm afraid to waste it." Time spent using them = experience. And experience is never wasted.
