A Little Prayer. David Strathairn’s eyes will break your heart in a thousand different ways. Probably the best film to come out of North Carolina in a long time.

There’s a scene in A Little Prayer between Jane Levy & David Strathairn that’s a big contender for the best bit of acting I’ve seen all year. Throughout this lovely, deeply human film the two of them are luminous & heartbreaking in equal measure. A kind ode to kindred spirits
