When I launched Stoneburner I had around 400-500 signups on Kickstarter and the project raised almost 45K during its campaign. Very happy to see Chronicles is at 860+ signsups on Backerkit, this project is very special to me.

One thing I hate that ttrpgs do is have a "get XP for roleplaying." fuck that. Everyone gets that XP every session. Saying, "Yeah, you were here and did stuff but you didn't rise above the level I think should be rewarded. If you were in a play, I'd have walked out at intermission" feels shitty

You ever get really excited for certain mechanics in a new TTRPG you're reading, but then in play you just struggle to utilize them? This is one of those things I sometimes struggle with, and I'm not sure if it's ADHD or just that sometimes there are too many mechanics to juggle.

No. Actually, I don't trust me, either. What incentives in a ttrpg can do is funnel people towards decisions they wouldn't otherwise make. Making those decisions is why I like using rules of a game. I can freeform better than most. Spent a lot of time doing improv in front of audiences. 1/3

Monopoly is a TTRPG where you role-play as shitty versions of yourselves who gradually grow more and more infuriated with each other.

I want to release Nightsong as a living world TTRPG. At every season, we make a game jam of community updates that reshapes the setting with major events or threats. Each season adds new adventures, skills, maps, professions, NPCs, tools, and a new world built around a central event.

I've seen a few TTRPG Youtubers say that if you want to succeed as a TTRPG Youtuber, around half of your videos have to be about D&D. Every How to Play video I've made has had lots of comments thanking me for helping them get into a new game. That's success enough for me.

Starforged: Ironsworn is so goddamned good that after just one session I can already tell I will enjoy running a long campaign in it. This is my ideal sci-fi game.

So excited to finally get into session 1 of a Grimwild campaign. The one-shots I've run have been a blast, but I'm really eager to see it play out over the course of a whole campaign. Truly feels like it will be my favorite fantasy system (and perhaps modded for other genres as well)

Nightreign dlc is out and...I dunno. I enjoyed it but also...I'm kinda done? Talked with a friend, and realized what I want from a soulslike "roguelite" would be more Hades style. GIve me wild, intense combat arenas and rewards, but stop making me rush everywhere avoiding rain! I dunno...

I started up not one, but TWO different campaigns of Starforged this week, and I've gotta say, I forgot how much I just love this system. Hell, the group world-building aspect alone is a great time. Really eager to see how it plays out over the long-term!

When you are bothered by a character in a movie doing something illogical, and you're like "Why the hell did they do that," just imagine if your life was a movie. I promise, your audience would have said that more than a few times. I know mine has...a lot...those assholes.
