I will always find a game designed for a hyper specific thing to be way more interesting than something generic. “In this game you play as space pirates who rob space trains” is way more compelling design than “This is a space game where you can do anything.”

I didn’t know that you have to “properly quit” out of Retroarch to have your saved game actually save. Luckily I only lost about 2 hours of gameplay yesterday… but that’s annoying.

First day of Chrono Trigger month in my retro game book club. I haven’t played this game in ages and it’s truly a warm hug of an experience. I want all of my fantasy ttrpgs to tonally feel like Chrono Trigger.
