College Board deleted vids for multiple classes on AP Classroom about issues dealing with American Indians, Slavery, Racism, and sexism. For APUSH the first two videos on Slavery in the British Colonies were deleted, videos on Native American societies and Euro conquest, and Reconstruction. #edusky

For Fred Korematsu Day, a photo of Japanese-Americans in their Internment camp. They are meeting with the White businessman they hired to oversee their farms. My grandfather (marked) helped them form a collective and write the contract. Unlike most JA, they didn't lose their farms. Organize.

I once shared a meal with a family friend. He was a kamikaze pilot, but knew the war couldn't be won by Japan. And it would need to rebuild. He ditched his plane and later worked his way to the top of Mitsubishi, helping Japan recover. No kamikaze missions, we need to be around for the rebuilding.

I have seen my grandfather's Interment paperwork. To Question 27, "Are you willing to serve in the armed forces of the United States on combat duty, wherever ordered?" he answered Yes. And then he added "If drafted." He would comply, but you would need to make him comply. #AAPIhistory

In thermo class today I mispronounced processes as prophesies. Upon that blunder I declared that we are all doomed, and went into the heat death of the universe. So yeah, that's where I am at this morning.

On this MLK Day I recall that my mother's Japanese-American church chartered a bus from NYC to DC so their youth could go to the March on Washington. They understood solidarity and invested in their children. This is our path to the future.

I wear a tutu for the conservation of angular momentum part of our show. My first reaction to this photo was "I'd look better if I smiled." I don't recall ever thinking that before when viewing other photos of me. But all it took to trigger that sexism was a change of clothing. :(

I totally missed this anniversary. Just before Christmas in 1974 my family moved to America. I've been here 50 years.
