The trees can't speak for themselves, so we have to do it for them. Trees are the lungs of our planet, and to stand among them is to hear the universe breathing. I'm not religious but being in a redwood forest, watching the light sift through, is the closest I've ever been to a holy place.

Opening this land for logging will destroy what is a beautiful wilderness - one that I've loved experiencing. This is not something the forests can recover from, it will take hundreds, if not a thousand years to regrow just the trees let alone everything else. Centuries of damage, it's appalling.
