anyway, a fun fact i was reminded of while rewatching frankenstein is that heart surgery was pretty much theoretical in the 19th century and was considered to be misguided, foolish, and even unethical by many doctors and surgeons

love that this is happening right when im about to lose my health insurance. cool. great. awesome.

rewatched frank and yeah, the ending just really bothers me :') it's such a fix-it fic and feels so unearned. catharsis for the characters but not for the audience. i do want an artbook and that entire back dissection with the flayed head figure prop for my living room

i think frankenstein should have either been like 20 minutes shorter or have an intermission and an extra hour of victor and the creature being freaks at each other in the arctic circle
