This. I’m not saying it’s wrong to work to win over swing voters, sporadic voters, low-info voters, etc. I’m saying those types don’t hang on Congressional activity over a year before an election, or on the wording of activist statements, or other things political junkies and pundits fixate on.

I'm skeptical that the best approach for Dems in this political moment is to talk about Republicans as good and reasonable, rather than as bad and unreasonable. Accommodate or oppose? I say the latter, in part because they're standing against compromise, pluralism, and mutual respect on principle.
