1/ The Hundred Line Women can be so cruel (complimentary).

2/ Baby Steps Some hurt dogs holler at a pathetic sweat factory failing to achieve simple parkour. Foddy’s games always confront failure to degrees. With the open expanse it turns that agony into an ecstasy independent of its sibling. A transcendent act of landing on America's Funniest Home Videos.

3/ Pipistrello and the Cursed Yo-Yo Not only living up to its inspirations but exceeding. The relationship between movement and environment is a creative joy. My favourite power play for any game to pull is finding a 'think you're clever huh' note at the end of the hall I thought I sequence broke.

4/ Silent Hill f Women can be so cruel.

5/ Consume Me If I were to gamify the confrontation of my adolescent self it’d be an arcade beat-em-up which is why I’m leaving this task to the professionals.

6/ Citizen Sleeper 2 The first Citizen Sleeper did a marvellous job translating the variables of dice into the small cruelties of life. Now it compartmentalizes the struggle into gig work, successfully so, suggesting that someone with JP Losman’s track record would be summoned like Danny Ocean.

7/ Stray Children The most ‘normal’ Onion game still captures the idiosyncratic magic exclusive to the form. Like Moon: Remix RPG Adventure it maintains that gaming can make an anti-social creature out of you, but in the 25 years since understands games are only *one* of those on your computer.

8/ Blippo+ I don’t *want* to be a farmer. I don’t *want* to be a power-washer. I *want* to run a cable access TV channel. I *want* to stuff it with local art freaks. I have told the creators of this game that I am envious. I have made that *very* clear.

9/ Skin Deep Space is probably terrifying but it’s also dumb as hell. The particulars around how you drink soda or piss will feel like a sober hazing ritual. We must learn to be at peace with how Stooge-like life in the stars will become.

10/ Fish Fear Me There's an inherent nihilism to the new wave of ambient play, from clickers to idle RPGs, that @hthrflwrs.bsky.social is the perfect candidate to capture, make meaningful. The dangling horror that capital makes attrition of all life on Earth.
