The response to the latest video has been lovely. The comments, aside from literally only 2-3 hateful ones out of hundreds, have been thoughtful, considerate, and insightful even when they disagree me.

The ghost of Stump-Leg Pete the pirate posessed the party’s barbarian tonight and had a couple players rolling death saves! And then when trying to flee, one of the players awoke the mimic so that they had to fight both at the same time 😈

Went to the city’s other multi-table D&D campaign last night and it was really fun! Both enjoyed playing for its own sake and got some fun ideas to take. Mostly: we need to find a way to get one of our players to switch tables mid-session! That happened and it was a fun moment for the whole group.

This is, in a nutshell, why I have largely fallen away from the video game community despite still playing games. So much of it has started to revolve around getting cool points for hating the games you’re supposed to hate. It’s exhausting.

Geez, sold out all 14 seats for my D&D group in 20 minutes. I’m not ready for 14 to not be enough yet!

I took a trip to Mexico City in 2023 and took a language class. We’d work on Spanish in the morning, and then go to a significant location and learn about it from the teacher. One of the locations was Diego Rivera’s murals at the SEP. They were a harsh reminder of the USA’s imperialism.

Today I got diagnosed with piriformis syndrome, which is a variation on sciatica more focused in the glute muscle. In other words, it’s a giant pain in the ass. It’s solvable in physical therapy, says the doc. And since it only affects one cheek, I get to half-ass my PT!
