Book 12 is Doctor Who: The Chimes of Midnight by Robert Shearman, from his own audio script. I haven't yet listened to the original audio drama of this story, so I was taken by surprise. It's a wonderfully effective piece of horror. Unsettling, emotional and full of big ideas. Big recommend.

So I accidentally did a thing that, due to one thing and another, means the Looms from the Doctor Who books are now definitely canonical - plot twist! - but in the Marvel Universe.

My copy of Doctor Who Christmas Specials, featuring a piece on The Next Doctor, arrived today! Naturally, I went and re-read my own writing first, and I didn’t die from embarrassment, so it must be good. Looking forward to reading the rest! I just finished reading the new book version of classic Doctor Who audio story The Chimes of Midnight. The audio is still much better but I thought the book largely worked & the extra scenes helped to develop some of the characters. There were a few dialogue changes that bothered me. #DoctorWho
