So I accidentally did a thing that, due to one thing and another, means the Looms from the Doctor Who books are now definitely canonical - plot twist! - but in the Marvel Universe.

My copy of Doctor Who Christmas Specials, featuring a piece on The Next Doctor, arrived today! Naturally, I went and re-read my own writing first, and I didn’t die from embarrassment, so it must be good. Looking forward to reading the rest! It’s an absolute thrill to be in a proper #DoctorWho book.

I just finished reading the new book version of classic Doctor Who audio story The Chimes of Midnight. The audio is still much better but I thought the book largely worked & the extra scenes helped to develop some of the characters. There were a few dialogue changes that bothered me. #DoctorWho

Me: Target’s most upsetting cover was that Terror of the Autons reprint. Target’s non-Doctor Who ranges: hold my beer.

I'm about half way through, it's a great adaptation and seems even darker in book form.

I read through the entire New Adventures novel series in the '10s and made it a ways into the Eighth Doctor Adventures before I fizzled out. Religiously, I would read the I, WHO entry after each book and marvel at what author Lars Pearson had recorded about that novel.

Looking forward to this episode! I listened when it came out. I adore Kate Orman & Michael Troughton’s reading! Overall enjoyed it, but with some reservations. Struggled with some of the sci-fi concepts that felt more 2023 than 1966, which took me out of the story. Can’t wait for your review!
