Braved yesterday's snowstorm to go see "Just in Time" as a (belated) birthday gift to my mom. She loves the music of Bobby Darin and really wanted to see it. No, we didn't see Jonathan Groff as it was really expensive to do so but the cast was so amazing, we didn't mind. Definitely recommend!

This entire weekend

Shocked and saddened by the news about Rob Reiner and his wife. Just terrible. This has been a pretty grim weekend along with the shootings at Brown University and then at Bondi Beach in Australia.

Someone else said it but it bears repeating: "The Muppet Christmas Carol" is the best movie ever because Michael Caine treats the Muppets as fellow, human actors. "Muppet Treasure Island" is the best movie ever because Tim Curry treats himself as a Muppet.

John Travolta dressed as Santa singing "Grease Lightning" on a Capital One commercial. Interesting.

Saw the new Kennedy Center "Honors" medals. Pretty bland compared to the old ones. They look like the medals you would get after running a marathon.
