This week, the Supreme Court finally killed off the Voting Rights Act of 1965. I've spent the past decade studying the VRA and the attacks on it, so I thought I would offer some historical perspective, and where I think we're headed. This will be a long thread; buckle up.

One of the bigger failures of American politics in the last 50 years is pretending within the parties and meaningful labels beyond "Democrat" and "Republican."

New research finds negligible benefit from "minimum passing distance" laws requiring drivers to give cyclists space when overtaking them. Protected bike lanes are far more effective.

Some stats from 100 days in on congestion pricing: - Complaints about car-honking are down 70% - The Holland Tunnel has 65% fewer delays at rush hour; time to get thru it is down 48% - 6 million fewer cars - Half as many traffic-related injuries - 1.5 million more visitors to BIDs year over year

How Well Is Congestion Pricing Doing? Very.
One hundred days in, honking is down; bus speeds are up.

Due to an issue entirely of my own making I haven't been able to charge my e-bike for a few weeks. It's been kinda nice going analog and I'm constantly reminded of the ol' Mitch Hedberg escalator bit. e-Bike temporarily bike, sorry for the convenience.
