Sent one job application in today. It's rough out there, folks.

I spent 5 minutes on the couch with @necrotext.bsky.social crying after fixing that 2 day roadblock of a bug. Now back to work.

In the tutorial it looks like SaveManager doesn't have access to player at all. SaveSlot is where they're setting the player, and then calling SaveManager functions with that reference. So double-check that part. Also check the remote tree when you run the game to make sure Player spawns as expected

Does anyone know how I make an Autoload in #Godot update its references to nodes that only spawn in later scenes? I'm using a save system as an autoload, but it can't save any data that belongs to nodes that don't spawn with it.

The greatest curse about being a 3D VTuber with a TF redeem is that I can't find a single good donkey or piranha plant base to use lol

Still unbelievable to me that game companies are looking for senior positions and demanding it be in-person with relocation. How many seniors do you have to choose from? How many of them do you think will upend their lives for a job that might lay them off a year or two? We've proven remote works.

Stuck on a crash on the project because I'm unable to wrap my head around node references in Godot. I've narrowed done the problem and now why it happens, but no clue how to go about fixing it. Tomorrow I'll work on other stuff, but I need to fix this for my game to work.
