Avengers Academy (2024-25); it's a wonderful, wonderful comic. It may have met an early end, but it didn't stop it from mending my heart in so many ways. If you haven't, please check it out. Whether or not the comic returns, the wonderful characters will live on forever and ever.

Something I've realized this trip is that I love trains in the way they create transit and mobility and freedom and are part of an urban and regional fabric. The actual physical trains themselves matter less to me! I think that's interesting.

this is truly a loss for marvel, avengers academy was one of (if not the) best comic runs in their current library and i genuinely mean that. the entire team were an absolute joy to see grow. there hasnt been a more important time in generations for comics to deliver this kind of story and i 1/2

If you have loved Avengers Academy, take even a moment to let Marvel know (respectfully). I hold tight the hope of reading and rereading and rerereading this story in a beautiful bound volume someday🙏

Really good observation on yesterday's events and the reaction to them:

“There is no place for political violence in this country” say the politicians using legislation and rhetoric to attack trans people, immigrants, women and BIPOC daily. Just because it’s done with a pen and not a gun doesn’t mean it’s not political violence. Hypocrites. Not that they care.

It’s not considered political violence to round up people and put them in concentration camps. It’s not considered political violence to fund ethnic cleansing and genocide. Very interesting what’s considered political violence and deemed unacceptable.
