Incredibly frustrated with IKEA and our Kivik couch. Seat cushion had tiny hole, so they scheduled delivery of new fabric. Then cancelled it. Then approved it. Then cancelled it again. Then management approved it. Today, instead of getting the delivery I got a call saying it was cancelled again. 🤡

Just learned from a mutual friend that Adam the Woo passed away today. 🙁

For anyone interested, they're a GU10 style, called Solhetta. They're 2 watts each, about the equivalent of a 35 watt halogen (which is also pretty low tbf). $10 for 3. IKEA also sells shitty, painful LEDs but is about the only store I've found that also sells good, very high quality LEDs.

These LED spots from IKEA are legit astonishing. I knew immediately they were special. They don't hurt my eyes, don't give me a headache, and don't flicker! Even in slow-mo I was unable to capture flicker. 10/10 well done IKEA. F#@& all the garbage, painful, flickering blue LEDs still on the market.

Scotiabank has effed up our mortgage renewal FOUR times now. It was originally supposed to close Nov 7th. That got delayed for an unknown reason to the 17th, then again to the 19th. When we called today we they insisted we have a virtual meeting on the 20th to close. The incompetence is INSANE.

This tree is looking very nice, but very different this year. Last year it was bright red.

Sanded everything again and still more spots to fill. Utterly exhausted, but it has to be completed tomorrow or no painter. Arms and back are aching and I'm worried I might hurt myself, otherwise I would've pulled another midnight sanding job.

I haven't been posting renovation updates lately. I'm up until midnight every night mudding and sanding drywall but also I am trying not to think about the kitchen floor the contractors messed up. I'm filled with stress and adrenaline over what we might have to do to get it fixed.
