Sounds like Eisners accepted Van Jensen's proposal to withdraw STARDUST from voting ballot, in response to 1 story using AI. But consider joining me in signing the request to disqualify AI submissions in the future (and I hope other awards will similarly update their policies).

Good. Sucks for me and my fellow contributors on the book but its for the best, hopefully this spurs some guidelines going forward so some good can come out of it.

I understand & share opposition to any AI replacing human vision, intent, labor, opportunity, and purpose -- particularly in artistic mediums like comics. So I encourage people to VOTE for OTHER wonderful and well-deserving anthologies. I also ask Eisners to add a provision against AI submissions.

I'm saddened the single page puts a sour note on a project I am honored to be a part of, that so many peers I admire worked hard and thoughtfully on, and that represents such a wonderful experience of my children getting to see their ideas realized in a big way for the first time.

INCREDIBLY EXCITING that the first comic WRITTEN WITH MY KIDS was nominated for the EISNER AWARDS! NOT EXCITING: One page of the 200+ was apparently done with AI in attempt to mimic original creator Fletcher Hanks' bizarre style.

Living in the “time of monsters” is so much stupider than it sounds.

That said, Matrix WILL return, I promise.
