i turned off the ears on meridian's cowl and it freaked me out ... ... i turned them back on ...

adra never has any money for Reasons which means all of their nice clothes are either gifts or borrowed ... meridian has an armorer he goes to in limsa but at this point he's going to need a tailor as well since most clothes off the rack cannot handle him

the thing w adra is that they naturally have a sharp tongue and a far more brittle patience than they let on; however, they make an active decision to try to behave w/ respect and courtesy bc they *value* those things, especially within themself - tho it is somewhat fraught

many people find it soothing to be around adra bc they're a good, active listener & have gentle manners. meanwhile, meridian does his best to ensure everyone around him is having a bad time.

i've always been quietly obsessed with lost/legendary cities (atlantis, ys, iram, etc) which is part of how XIV reeled me in, bc lost civilizations are such a huge part of the overall narrative. but XIV also loves introducing a lost city and then never developing it beyond one or two dungeons

Actually the most important item in the patch notes is that Meridian can now tuck his ears into his cowl. So people can stop asking to touch his ears

i do wish you could toggle btwn the fem/masc idle pose for drawn weapons in XIV. the fem white mage pose just does not fit adra. if they have their staff drawn then they are about to square up; they are not standing primly with a beatific smile

there's a boss in ulduar (old WoW raid) that's a giant robot w/ a childlike mentality who treats the fight like he's playing with a bunch of toys. when he kills a player he cries 'i guess it doesn't bend that way' and anyway that is how i constantly feel about my body these days
