Cover Reveal: TEA & ALCHEMY by Sharon Lynn Fisher
I'm thrilled to be helping with the cover reveal of Sharon Lynn Fisher's next book, and you guys, it's a gorgeous cover! I started reading Sharon's books back when I first started blogging so I've followed her writing journey over the last thirteen years or so. I always get excited when she has a new book coming out, and Tea & Alchemy…

Salt & Broom is no. 1 on a SCREEN RANT list of romantasy this week! “deftly weaves together the original story with modern sensibilities and herbal lore, making for a zippy but satisfying romantasy reimagining of the iconic Gothic romantic couple and protagonists”

The more people say “a woman’s worth is in marrying young and having children” the more I’m grateful for the example of Jane Austen, who turned down a proposal of marriage so she could keep writing and whose six novels are an enduring testament to all a woman is capable of doing.

Imagine DOGE opens your mail and finds your household electric bill. To eliminate this cost, they burn your house down without warning. Then they total up the bills that, as a homeless person, you will never again pay. On its website, DOGE boasts about the money it has saved you.

Colorado's Rep Brittany Pettersen (D) flew cross-country with her one-month-old to vote against the GOP budget tonight. Dems ended up one vote short. Pettersen was part of an unsuccessful bipartisan push to allow new mothers to vote remotely.

A lovely Friday night with just me and my pup snuggled up in my house on the edge of the woods by the Salish Sea reading Salt & Broom by

which turned out to be a delightfully charming and spooky twist on one of my favorite classics. ❤️

It may feel weird or somehow improper to talk about your art or your writing, but we need it. It can’t be wall-to-wall nightmare all the time. Art is both counterweight and context. It’s escape and enlightenment and a mirror of our own exasperation. We need it. We NEED it. Keep showing us.

Libraries are great for the books, sure, but it's also nice to have a quiet and safe space to sit and think- a place where no one is trying to sell you anything.

The arbitrary labels are bad enough, but in my experience these stories can be a lifeline for kids struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD...or just trying to figure out where they fit in the world.

Libraries pay for ebooks and (controversially) usually have to pay again if they want to keep them after a set number of check-outs, so authors do get paid by libraries. Do either, if you’re not pirating, the author is getting paid something.
