The news is out! On Wednesday I found this unsuspecting looking bone under a nodule. We thought it was a baby mammoth scapula. This morning we realised it was the jaw of a cave lion. An incredible team effort to expose, identify, and conserve this incredibly rare specimen 😍🦣🦁💗

This small circle of stones in the Valley of Stones is the remnants of a bronze or iron age house. The house itself would have been built out of wood, just using the stones for additional external support.
