#OTD in 1941, British army PR took a rather fetching shot of the Matilda IIs of 'D' Squadron 7 R.T.R. in Tobruk. These tanks had spent almost the whole of the siege in the fortress, and were an instrumental part of the breakout. #desertwar #ww2 #militaryhistory
