Mikayla Blakes now has 22 and got 12 of those in the third quarter as Vandy outscored Illinois 24-16. Vanderbilt takes a 60-41 lead into the fourth quarter 10 minutes from the first Sweet 16 berth since 2009.

Illinois just won't quit even with Vanderbilt up by double digits. Blakes hits her first 3 of the game and Berry Wallace hits a 3 for the Fighting Illini in final seconds of the 2nd quarter. Illinois outrebounded and outscored Vandy in the quarter. Commodores though up 36-25 at halftime.

Vanderbilt scores the final 9 of the first quarter and is up 21-8 over Illinois.
