I play a silly game inside of Wordle where I ask a question like “how’s my day going to be?” & see how the puzzle relates. Today I asked “how do we get the country back to normal?”

I am working backstage at a corporate event watching the waitstaff bring dishes that this wealthy crowd probably won’t finish. Wondering how many workers are laid off Fed employees, or SNAP recipients who are going without. My bet is quite a few.

Spent my evening with 25 foster kids ages 2-13 to give their caregivers a break. The kids were so great, even when the AC went out. I know there are going to be so many more in the system who won’t get solid care, especially here in TN. We have a messed up world & kids are going to suffer most.

My Uber driver this a.m. in NYC was from Uzbekistan with a wife& 2 little boys … one who was born in U.S. As he worked on his English with me, we talked about how to stay safe in a country with disdain for immigrants. I told him he can find support but to be careful. My 💙 goes out to all of them.
