Being chronically ill is so lonely. Every little piece of normalcy and your old life has been taken from you. The mental aspect of all this has been unexpectedly difficult. But to feel included and normal for an evening after not being included and not feeling normal for so long was amazing.

I went to a music festival in August & found myself having to sit away from my friends trying to get my heart rate under control. For the first time in such a long time I felt truly normal & able to enjoy myself at a show last night. Thank u mobility aid! I’ll never be too prideful for u again!

It’s almost October and it’s in the high 80s & 90s all week. With my POTS symptoms I can’t really work in these temps without becoming ill. I have scheduled things thinking it would have cooled off by now. I’m having to push myself to go to work. Compression garments are hot which just adds to it.

I have a ring finger tattoo bc my wedding ring is too big. I had it resized bigger when we married & used spacers to fill the gap when I lost weight. Sometimes I want to wear my ring tho. It’s a family ring & older. Google says the ring can be resized 1-3 times and I fear I can’t resize it again :(
