James Baxter's Masterclass video about walk cycles is necessary viewing for a lot of reasons (not the least of which being that he's one of the last living masters of 2D animation), especially in how it showcases the drawing habits in his process that I was told were "wrong." (1/5)

Seeing artists talk about timelines for graphic novels, I always want to push writers to ask for better for themselves and artists. Sure, I can write a book faster than most, that doesn't mean I should accept faster deadlines. Always request more time, even if that means you overdeliver.

George Herriman is arguably one of the first major black artists in comics. And the only reason for that is because NO ONE KNEW HE WAS BLACK. He was light skinned enough to be white passing & hid that fact into old age so that he WOULD be able to continue drawing largely due to rampant racism.

I saw the Love Death and Robots short, How Zeke Got Religion, and I want THAT stuff to have a full feature budget too
