Increasingly I feel like I favor furry because it espouses the idea that humans, for all our mastery over nature, are still animals. We need to nap and wander and frolic and utter strange noises. It is good for us to be weird little guys, which is something society is so committed to stripping away.

One of the most incredible shots I've ever gotten, in Yellowstone. This coyote walked over a ridge in the blowing snow and posed for me, with a small grin on its face, the snowfalkes like stars in the background. The desolation and beauty of life and nature is grounding, and so good for the soul.

Thinking about new years resolutions and I have a bunch I want to improve. I just know it's pretty hard to keep new habits so I should prioritize. I started the gym in August and it's still not ingrained and a bit of a struggle oftentimes. Change is slow, especially good change, so I gotta be smart.

I’m sick of singing about piss

“I trust my immune system. I don’t need a vaccine.” Ok, I trust mine to protect me too. Which is why I trained it extensively on what the virus looks like so it can handle it. Boxers don’t enter the ring without a plan. It’s the punch you don’t see coming that knocks you out.

My poor dog has Sudden Poop Explosion Disease tonight which means no sleep for me cause I gotta take him out every time he asks which is about once an hour. I'm not terribly worried yet, sometimes this happens, he has a sensitive stomach & probably snarfed something off the floor he shouldn't have.

I have applied to work at goodwill and I will probably get the job. So yay, money. Boo, anxiety. But I'll just be sorting and pricing stuff which I have heard is very low stress and no customers, just coworkers so that should hopefully be fine.
