Contrarily: I taught 5 brand new players how to play simultaneously in a 5-player game of Commander, turn by turn, and it went absolutely phenomenally, and they all had an amazing time with interest to play more.

The Family Magic area at MagicCon has evolved to the point where I'm legitimately ready to bring my older kid, at least, to the event. Kudos to @magikids.bsky.social for putting on such cool stuff, and to whoever on Wizards' event team is taking turning this con into a con seriously.
