What made you start playing Magic? What sparked your interest, or pushed you to make the jump? Who, when, why?

Seven MTG main sets a year is a "scheduling quirk" this year as WotC struggle to meet the demands of Contractual obligations of their partners. But what we have to realise is that if Magic makes record profit once again, it will be the norm. Magic is always changing, but not always for the better.
