I am manifesting a draftable Warhammer 40k MTG Set, and it's not these tiny "middle sized" sets. It's fucking huge, like mahoosive. Give me 500+ cards.

TMNT, and it's stylised depiction of New York, has ALOT of character to it. It's got flavour that I think the clean "photo real (but not quite)" artistic direction of Spider-Man lacked. Sadly, we are never really going to talk about that kind of stuff - because we are past the Hater Event Horizon.

Whilst the obvious answer is "we should be able to ban expensive pieces of cardboard that are negatively affecting a format" - we do have to look at the reality - there is a grosss tension between balancing gameplay, and the prohibitive cost of the cards. All that and more, in today's video.

Something I hope we peel back on is this "4+ versions of the same person" stuff. I get it - imagine having a Batman set, and only one Batman card - but it ends up leaving the sets *feeling* weird as the texture is smoothed out with various shades of the same stuff over and over.

I think my weirdest feelings about the Turtles set is that I am familiar with the franchise - I've seen the OG show, watched movies, owned toys, played the games (Turtles in Time rules). A lot of it feels like visual noise. Signals I vaguely understand; but they all look the same as one another.
