please understand. artists don't get nearly as much feedback (praise, comments or otherwise) as you think they do. much less than years and years ago. we don't know how much you like it. we don't know how it affected you. unless you say something, or recommend it, comment, reblog. anything.

When you use AI to generate an image, yeah - you're getting free "art" -but at the cost of it not being good quality, not to mention the environmental impact and the water waste. When you commission small artists, you're helping them pay bills, have a social life, and often treatment of their pets.

go tell your favorite artists you like their work. you may think they hear it enough or your praise would be identical to someone else's so you say nothing, but i promise you they would love to hear it. and sometimes they need to hear it.

I think I'm pretty tired of the whole "you need to create content as a artist and be consistent" thing, I want my socials and my art to be like a journal, because my art is intrinsically linked to my life and it's how I express myself. I loved the CGI and visual effects in Sheep Detectives as is but DAMN I would have loved to see this. Apparently the book the movie was based on was way more adult and mature (I’ve heard), I’d watch a 2D animated Felidae style murder mystery with sheep

The problem with using “AI Slop” as a term for media that you don’t like is that it ends up helping AI because it ultimately makes it harder to distinguish what is actual AI and what isn’t. It ends up being a “Boy Who Cried Wolf” scenario.
