if you are like me and have absolutely no other ideas except for the big one, starting with a 'pilot episode' chapter is a good bet - a single story that encapsulates the vibe of the whole plot in miniature before you commit to the long haul, finish that chapter and see how you feel

My hot take is that we should really do away with the idea of needing a “house style” when it comes to studios. Every animated film at a studio should try new things or take big swings in terms of design, story, or technique

I don't think the arts will ever truly thrive in capitalistic systems. Whether that is bcuz of the exploitation of the labor or the refusal to platform any art that isn't Profitable(TM), which then directly influences & almost guarantees what kind of art gets made & distributed on a large scale...

My advice to young artists is that ESPECIALLY as a young artist you have so much to learn about yourself and the world and what you like about the process and what your favourite things are, and if you do a little bit of everything you will figure out what you love more than anything else

Advice from an older artist; Numbers are NOT important. Being famous is NOT important. Being on the front page is NOT IMPORTANT. What IS important is how much fun you're having and how much joy what you're doing brings YOU. Love what you do and others will take notice :)

Kickstarter has reverted their policy changes on Adult Content! They issued an apology, siting Stripe as the reason. The pressure we put on them worked. This is a step in the right direction. But the threat of Stripe remains. It’d be great to see KS end ties with them & process payments elsewhere.
