Knitting is one of those things which don’t lose their wonder the better I get at it. It’s awe-inducing, realizing that despite the fact that the technique I am practicing is over 400 years old, people still keep finding new ways to express it.

Even though I was dissociated AF I still went to D&D one shot night and I’m so glad I did. Lovely, kind, friendly people. And I just get to play make believe for a few hours (and pretend to be a badass pirate lady) Definitely going to be some lingering effects from this afternoon but life goes on

Today is Knitting Circle day!!! Every month I get together with a group of knitting friends and we knit all day! We alternate locations so everyone is equally sharing in the travel distance and everyone gets to show off their places! We’re even going to the Maryland Fiber Festival together! 🧶

One of only 3 rare plants I ever personally imported (many years ago) was this warscewiczii aurea flavum. The leaves get massive and increasingly more detailed as the plant matures. I was told they’re deciduous and lose all their leaves in the winter but that’s not been my experience growing

Ran my very first D&D game last night! Things didn’t go perfectly (of course) but we all had a great time and we’re on again in 2 weeks. It was lovely to finally see the story behind to unfold together

We’re told there’s no money for universal healthcare or to end hunger in this country. But somehow $200 billion more for war will likely move through Congress without question.  Not another penny for another endless war.

People who choose to take up an entire sidewalk are so fascinating (irritating) to me. Is it entitlement? Is it lack of awareness? And a polite “excuse me” is often met with blank, confused stares. Bitch move. I’m not tryna talk to you.
