imo most of the sonic 4 esque tracks in sonic superstars only sound tacky cause of the sonic 2 drums which, if you didn't know, only sound the way they do because they were sped up to 2x speed to free up cartridge space for the SEGA sound

They don’t tell you this but Minuit a fond la caisse actually has a motif of John Fallout’s theme in it and this is because you can use a baseball bat in fallout 3 (I think?)

sonic 4 instruments aside frozen base act 1 goes crazy it's literally the penultimate level having the main theme leitmotif in it and theres almost no way to fuck that up (glancing slightly at cave story wii soundtrack)
